The HP Laserjet 1020 printer produces black and white printouts of digital documents. To work with the printer having a pc, you need to connect the two devices. When you are able to connect the printer straight to a laptop or computer, it is possible to also set up the printer around the network via an Ethernet connection. With all the printer around the network, any on the computer systems around the network which has the 1020's computer software and drivers installed can send print jobs towards the printer at any time.

Introduce:

1 Plug a single finish with the Ethernet cable in to the network port or Ethernet hub for the network. Plug the other finish in the Ethernet cable in to the Ethernet port within the back in the printer.

2 Wait for one of several two network lights to illuminate around the back from the printer. If soon after 5 minutes neither light comes on, replace the Ethernet cable or seek advice from along with your network administrator.

3 Hold the printer's "Go" button for 5 seconds to create a configuration web page. Retrieve the web page in the printer's output tray.

4 Close all open applications on every pc you want to make use of with all the printer. Insert the printer's installation CD within the optical drive.

5 Adhere to the guidelines within the installation application window, that will differ based on your computer's operating program as well as the network's configuration.
